DKI Jakarta Will Develop Halal Tourism

December 3, 2020ferdi darmawan

As the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta has a very diverse destination. There are nature, culture, also manmade. Enough? The answer is not yet. Tanah Betawi will also develop halal tourism.

The plan arose in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of the Designing, Designing, and Action Plan for the DKI Jakarta Halal Tourism Area. The event was held at Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia, Jakarta, 23 October.

According to the Tourism Ministry’s Tourism Destination Development Deputy, Dadang Rizki Ratman, the FGD was held so that Jakarta had quality halal destinations.

“The event was held to compile and socialize the Design, Strategy, Plan and Action (DSRA) of DKI Jakarta. It is that we involve a variety of parties. The principal is incorporated in the penta helix stakeholder. The aim is to create quality Halal Tourism Destinations in DKI Jakarta, “said Dadang, Wednesday (10/24).

There are 4 areas in Jakarta that are considered feasible for the Development of Halal Tourism Destinations. All are major destinations in Jakarta. There are Old Town, National Monument, Situ Babakan, and Thousand Islands.

“These destinations are the best in Jakarta. And they are very well known in Indonesia, even among foreign tourists. Development of halal destinations in these places must have a high value, “said Dadang

While the Chairperson of the Kemenpar Halal Tourism Development Acceleration Team, Riyanto Sofyan, said there was a standard that would be applied.

“Design, Strategy, Plan and Action (DSRA) that is made, must be in line with the global halal tourism standards. Of course, what has been set by the Ministry of Religion, the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI), “he said.

Riyanto explained, there was a reason why GMTI was made a reference. “Of course, so that the destination strength can be measured and compared with other destinations,” he explained.

After going through discussion and question and answer sessions, a number of points were obtained which received joint support.

First is the Halal Tourism Guidelines. The Governor Regulation will be issued soon, following the Establishment of the DKI Jakarta Halal Tourism Development Acceleration Team

Then, the Regional Government of DKI will immediately issue a Fiscal Incentive policy (Tax Deduction, Partial Certification Subsidies, etc.) and Non-Fiscal Incentives for Halal Tourism Business Actors.

Finally, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is targeting 2 million visitors to Muslim Wisdom in 2020.

Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya strongly supports the plan to establish halal tourism destinations in Jakarta.

“As the nation’s capital, Jakarta is the destination of many foreign tourists. For this reason, the destination in the capital city must be completed. Including halal tourism. Make a destination that has value. Which has a sale value of tourism. Which can make tourists visit there, “he said giving input. (*)

The Sharia Economic Movement (GRES!) Was inaugurated by the Government

December 3, 2020ferdi darmawan

KIBLAT. NET, Jakarta – Many countries have developed sharia economic systems, as well as Indonesia. Islamic economic systems are increasingly developing in the most populous Muslim country in the world. That, further triggered the government to launch the Sharia Economic Movement (Gres!) Which was inaugurated by President SBY at the Jakarta Monas Cross Field, on Sunday (17/11).

The event was also attended by several government officials. Among them, Minister of Finance Agus Martowardojo, Minister of Religion Suryadharma Ali, and Secretary of Dipo Alam, including DKI Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo and Chairman of the MUI Ma’ruf Amin, also Chairperson of Islamic Economic Communication Center Halim Alamsyah .

According to SBY, the launching of a sharia economic system is a national agenda, and Indonesia is expected to become the center of the world’s sharia economy.

“Therefore, the community is expected to play an active role in the development of Islamic economics. As a country with the largest number of Muslims in the world, Indonesia has the potential to become the center of Islamic economics, “SBY said.

Islamic economic systems can be a solution to prevent and reduce the impact of the global financial crisis. Agus Marto Wardojo explained, Indonesia’s economic growth reached 5, 7 percent and became the country with the highest economic growth number two among the G2O countries.

After the launching of the sharia economic system, SBY and Ani Yudhoyono visited several exhibition outlets presenting various sharia economic financing products. Now there have been a variety of products such as sharia insurance, sharia banking and others. [dawn]

Indonesia Wins 2015 World Halal Travel Awards

December 3, 2020ferdi darmawan

ABU DHABI – After going through a long process since the election in April 2015, Indonesia, represented by Sofyan Hotel Cut Meutia and Lombok, Nusa Tenggara won three categories in the 2015 International Halal Travel Award.

Sofyan Hotel Cut meutia is superior to Gloria Dubai Hotels and Landmark Hotel Dubai in the category of World’s Best Family Friendly Hotels in the final of this award. This award was received directly by the President Commissioner of PT Sofyan Hotels Tbk., RiyantoSofyan in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), UniEmirat Arab, Wednesday (10/21) Indonesian time.

Riyanto expressed his gratitude to the people of Indonesia and all parties who have supported Indonesian representatives in the annual event of The World Halal Travel Summit & Exhibition.

“Thank God, thank you for all who voted for Indonesia in the 2015 World Halal Travel Award voting,” Riyanto said in an online message to // Republika //, Wednesday (10/21).

Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) also won two awards as the World’s Best Halal Honeymoon Destination and the World’s Best Halal Tourism Destination. In the category of the World’s Best Halal Honeymood Destination, Lombok shifted UAE Abu Dhabi, Antalya Turkey, Krabi-Thailand and Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

While in the category of World’s Best Halal Destination, Lombok excels from hosts Abu Dhabi, Amman Jordan, Antalya Turkey, Cairo Egypt, Doha Qatar, Istanbul Turkey, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Marrakech Morocco and Tehran Iran.

After receiving the award, the Head of the NTB Province Regional Promotion Agency, Taufan Rahmadi, said that this moment was a history for NTB as well as a challenge. In the future, all parties still need to work hard to make improvements.

” It is time for tourism not only to deal with industry, but also to prosper and bring blessings to the people in an area. Tourism is good for all, ” said Taufan.

Of the 14 categories of the World Halal Travel Award, Indonesia managed to break into the second round and became a finalist in the category of World’s Best Family Friendly Hotels, World’s Best Halal Honeymoon Destination, World’s Best Halal Tourism Destination, World’s Best Culinary Destination, and World’s Best Cultural Destination.

Halal Hotel Growth Continues to Rise

December 3, 2020ferdi darmawan

Chairman of the Halal Tourism Development Acceleration Team (TP3H) Riyanto Sofyan said the growth of sharia hotels in Indonesia continued to increase.

He revealed, based on data from Traveloka as of May 2018, there were around 730 Islamic hotels in Indonesia. However, the amount will still be curated with the National Sharia Board (DSN) in accordance with the standards set.

Of course, the development of hotel room sales based on data released by Traveloka is very rapid. “It can be seen from the data on room sales growth in 2015 to 2016 which rose by 390 percent. While growth from 2016 to 2017 was 126 percent,” Sofyan told Gatra.

Along with the growth data, the increase in room sales revenue is also skyrocketing and it was noted that in 2015 to 2016 there was an increase in income of 411 percent. While in 2016 to 2017 the increase was 118 percent.

Based on data in the Ministry of Tourism, the number of hotels whose restaurants already have sharia certification amounts to 75. While there are only two hotels with Islamic certificates from the MUI DSN, namely the Syariah Hotel Solo (SHS) and Hotel Sofyan. Especially those in Jakarta, namely Central Jakarta Sofyan Cut Mutia Cikini Hotel and Sofyan Soepomo Tebet Hotel, South Jakarta.

Previously, the standard of sharia hotels did refer to Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Regulation Number 2 of 2014 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Sharia Hotel Businesses. In the regulation, there are two sharia hotel standards; hilal 1, namely basic sharia complience and hilal 2, namely moderate sharia complience.

However, the regulation is currently revoked and the Ministry of Tourism is in the process of formulating new rules. The revocation occurred after a focus group discussion (FGD) was held with related stakeholders. So in the future sharia nomenclature will be changed to halal.

“So the nomenclature used for tourism is right is halal, so it turns out to be halal tourism, not sharia, even the hotel is a halal hotel,” Sofyan said.

In this meeting, Islamic countries will discuss and explore the potential of sharia tourism which is predicted to reach US $ 2.47 trillion in 2018. World Muslim tourists continue to increase every year, so that tourism needs that are friendly for Muslim travelers are getting bigger.

Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sapta Nirwandar, in an official statement received by Dream.co.id presented a Thomson Reuters report in the State of the Global Islamic Economy (2013) which cited the world’s total Muslim expenditure for halal food and lifestyle (lifestyle ) reached US $ 1.62 trillion in 2012. This figure is predicted to reach US $ 2.47 trillion in 2018.

In line with this, the Pew Research Center Forum on Religion and Public Life revealed that the world’s Muslim population is expected to continue to grow from 1.6 billion or around 23.4 percent of the world’s population of 6.9 billion in 2010 to around 2.2 billion or around 26.4 percent of the world’s total population of 8.3 billion in 2030. The annual average population growth of Muslims is 1.5 percent.

The international sharia tourism conference agreed to be named “the 1st OIC International Forum on Islamic Tourism” was the first to be held in the world. This was a follow-up to the meeting of the Ministers of Tourism of OIC member countries in Banjul, Gambia on December 6, 2013.

In the meeting initiated a forum that would discuss the development of Sharia Tourism among OIC member countries.

“The proposal to discuss the importance of Sharia Tourism in supporting global tourism has received approval from the majority of members of the congregation who at the same time agreed to the place of implementation carried out in Indonesia in 2014,” said Sapta. For Indonesia, the potential of sharia tourism is not only for foreign markets, but also the potential of large and increasing local tourists. According to data from the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy, in 2011 there were around 239 million local tourist movements with expenditures of around Rp. 138 trillion. Whereas in 2012 there were around 245 million tourist movements, if 88.1 percent of those traveling were Muslim residents, there would be around 215 million movements with an estimated expenditure of US $ 129.37 billion or around Rp. 142.3 trillion.

Indonesia champion! At least the portrait was represented by Wisata Halal Indonesia, which successfully wiped out 12 categories from 16 which were competed in the 2016 World Halal Tourism Award (WHAT) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, October 24-November 25, 2016. The announcement of the champion was reported through the official website http://itwabudhabi.com/halal-awards/2016-winners.html at 21:30 WIB, Wednesday, December 7, 2016. There was also something that made dramatic in WHTA2016, Indonesia won 12 out of 16 categories and was chosen to become the overall champion. Outstanding achievements and only left 4 categories that Indonesia did not send its champion. Aceh, which was one of the representatives, won two categories: world’s best airport for halal travelers, Sultan Iskandar Muda and world’s best halal cultural destination. Other champions include, World’s Best Airline for Halal Travelers, World’s Best Family Friendly Hotels (The Rhadana Hotel, Kuta, Bali), World’s Most Luxurious Family Friendly Hotels (Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung), World’s Best Halal Beach Resort ( Novotel Lombok Resort & Villas, Lombok, Nusat Barat Barat). Then, World’s Best Halal Tour Operator Ero Tour, West Sumatra), World’s Best Halal Tourism Website (www.wonderfullomboksumbawa.com), World’s Best Halal Honeymoon Destination (Sembalun Village Region, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara), World’s Best Haji & Umrah Operator (ESQ Tours & Travel, Jakarta), World’s Best Halal Destination (West Sumatra), and World’s Best Halal Culinary Destination (West Sumatra). In the first round, October 24 to November 7, 2016, Malaysia had excelled in four core categories, which were contested with Lombok, Aceh and West Sumatra, three regions whose positioning had been determined to focus on halal tourism. Namely, World’s Best Halal Destination, World’s Best Halal Honeymoon, World’s Best Halal Hotel and World’s Best Halal Culinery. But in the second round, November 7 to 24, 2016, Menpar Arief Yahya mobilized all of his networks to help vote. “This is dramatic! Malaysia and Turkey are legends on Halal World Tourism. From time to time, these two countries stand out. These two years 2015 and 2016, we take over!” said Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya in the press release. He explained, Indonesia overtook the final corner. According to him this reinforces that Indonesia is solid. Red and White Voters are compact, netizens also have a high spirit of nationalism so they come out victorious. This proves that this nation is great and vote without seeing where it comes from or who it represents, the important thing is that Merah Putih wins and becomes the pride of this country. Secondly, the world’s best halal label boosts level 3C, confidence (confidence), credible (increasingly trusted people), and calibration (closer to global standards). “Third, this world achievement is also as a solace, for some Acehnese who are affected by the earthquake, where Aceh received two awards at the same time. Hopefully it will remain resilient and fast recovery, for those who are affected,” he added. He congratulated the winners and expressed his gratitude to the voters and all endorsers who invited their followers to vote on winning Indonesia through e-voting. Also Chairman of the Halal Tourism Acceleration Team Riyanto Sofyan, all the 2016 World Halal Tourism Award Team and all volunteers. Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism (Kadisbudpar) Aceh, Reza Fahlevi said similar things. “Thank God, thank you all, especially the voters who have worked together to win this victory. This is our common victory, the victory of all Acehnese people,” Reza Fahlevi said via WhatsApp short message. He added that the achievement was not the end, but it was a long task to realize Aceh as the best halal culture destinations. As is known, the Aceh government is being aggressively promoting halal certification for tourism actors. Halal labeling is intended for restaurant businesses, products, hotels, and travel agents. This is to prepare Aceh tourism with a global standard. Congratulations to the winners. Wonderful Indonesian greetings.   SOFYAN CONSULTING SUPPORTING & SUPERVISING IN PREPARING ACEH AS HALAL TOURISM DESTINATION

Minister Message : Halal Tourism

December 3, 2020ferdi darmawan

Halal Tourism

The global Muslim population reaches 1.6 billion people with Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of more than US $ 7 trillion. The consumption of Muslim population reached US $ 1.8 trillion or 11.7% of the consumption of the world population, higher than China which reached 10.3%. While the consumption of the Indonesian Muslim population is only 12.4% or almost 1/8 of global Muslim consumption. The growth of the Muslim market is expected to reach US $ 2.6 trillion by 2020, or an average growth of 6.3% per year, while the growth of Muslim tourists is predicted to be even higher, at 9.1% per year. How tempting this market is for our tourism.

For Indonesia, our competitiveness regarding halal tourism (halal tourism) is indeed still inferior to Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand. The contribution to GDP is only around 9.6% and contributes to foreign exchange of US $ 11.9 billion, as well as our ranking on the Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI), which is still below Malaysia which is ranked 1. The number of Muslim foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in the year 2015 only 2.2 million. Still inferior to Singapore (3.6 million), Malaysia (6.18 million) and Thailand (4.8 million).

Our target in 2019 is to bring 5 million Muslim tourists, 242 million Muslim tourists, and rank 1 GMTI. Halal tourism is an important portfolio for national tourism to reach the target of 20 million foreign tourists by capturing global Muslim tourists.

Moreover, our country is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, by default we can say that tourism is halal tourism. We formed the Halal Tourism Development Acceleration Team chaired by Pak Riyanto Sofyan, who has spent many years in the halal industry, especially the hospitality sector.

Opportunity

In formulating a strategy to develop halal tourism, I see there are three opportunities that we must take. The first opportunity is our diverse and developed tourism attraction. We have three product portfolios or destinations that can be developed for halal tourism, which consist of cultural tourism, nature tourism, and man-made tourism.

Second, our Muslim-friendly amenities (hotels, cafes, restaurants, etc.) are also ready. As I said before, by default our country is definitely Muslim-friendly. In Japan or Thailand, in order to be Muslim-friendly they must specifically build mosques or prayer rooms. In Indonesia, mosques and prayer rooms are available everywhere to the villages. We don’t need to build again. Following the implementation of the Halal Product Guarantee Law in 2019, it is certain that halal awareness among tourism industry players will increase dramatically.

Third, there are opportunities for collaboration with multinational institutions or organizations to develop halal tourism infrastructure. Related to this, I believe that King Salman’s arrival will increasingly attract investors from Saudi Arabia and the Middle East to invest in tourism infrastructure in Indonesia.

Acceleration Strategy

To develop halal tourism in the country, we set 10 main halal tourism destinations consisting of Aceh, West Sumatra, Riau, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, Lombok / NTB, and South Sulawesi. However, for now we are still focused on five destinations, namely Aceh, West Sumatra, Lombok, DKI Jakarta, and West Java.

By looking at these opportunities and challenges, I formulated three main strategies to accelerate the development of halal tourism. What are they?

First, Global Leadership. For halal tourism, Indonesia should be the leader. For this reason, we have to be champions in every meeting or competition.
We have won 12 out of 16 award categories at the 2016 World Halal Tourism Award and 2016 International Travel Week in Abu Dhabi. Last year we also held a halal tourism competition with 14 categories contested and intended not only for destinations but also hotels, airports, and travel agencies.

We must also continue to improve our ranking in GMTI as a global standard in assessing halal tourism competitiveness. In 2014 our position is ranked 6th, I expect to be ranked 1st in 2019.

Second, the marketing strategy using the Destination, Origination, and Time (DOT) models that we have formulated. Which destinations do we want to offer, which originations / markets we will aim at, and when they will do what, we must formulate in detail. For promotional strategies, we use the Branding, Advertising and Selling (BAS) model. While for media strategies we use Paid, Owned, Social Media, and Endorser (POSE) models.

Third, Destination and Institutional Development. We develop and strengthen the competitiveness of attractions and products to further strengthen our country as the main halal tourism destination in the world. The programs carried out include the development of destinations and the halal tourism industry and increasing the capacity of industry players. Furthermore, we strengthen the halal tourism ecosystem by providing input for improvement and development to all tourism stakeholders, preparing training curricula for halal tourism human resources, and of course educating the public to be more concerned with halal tourism.

Dr. Ir. Arief Yahya, M.Sc.

Kebijakan Halal MUI

December 3, 2020ferdi darmawan

Majelis Ulama Indonesia

1. Persyaratan Sertifikasi Halal MUI

HAS 23000 adalah dokumen yang berisi persyaratan sertifikasi halal LPPOM MUI. HAS 23000 terdiri dari 2 bagian, yaitu Bagian I tentang Persyaratan Sertifikasi Halal : Kriteria Sistem Jaminan Halal (HAS 23000:1) dan Bagian (II) tentang Persyaratan Sertifikasi Halal : Kebijakan dan Prosedur (HAS 23000:2).

2. KRITERIA SISTEM JAMINAN HALAL (SJH)

1. Kebijakan Halal.

Ciri-ciri minuman halal :
